In short
- Tap Edit profile, then Website, and paste your link. Only the TikTok app can add it.
- The Website field appears once you meet TikTok's follower requirement, commonly 1,000, or with a business account.
- Use one link that holds everything: products, free downloads and your other channels.
- Tell viewers what they'll find at the link, in the video and in a pinned comment.
TikTok gives you a single clickable link on your profile, and only once your account qualifies. Here's how to add it, what to do while you can't, and how to make that one link earn.
How to add a link to your TikTok bio
- Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Tap Website (if you don't see it, your account doesn't qualify yet; see below).
- Paste your link and tap Save.
Buffer's guide (December 2025) notes that clickable links can only be added in the mobile app, not on the website.
Who can add a website link
TikTok unlocks the Website field when an account meets its follower or regional requirements, commonly 1,000 followers for a personal account. A business account can unlock it sooner; in some countries TikTok asks you to verify a registered business if you have fewer than 1,000 followers (Buffer, December 2025, checked October 2026). The rules vary by country and change, so check Edit profile in your own app.
- To switch: Profile, the menu at the top right, Settings and privacy, Account, Switch to Business Account.
- Pick the category closest to what you do.
- Go back to Edit profile and look for Website.
No link yet? What to do meanwhile
- Put your store's address as text in your bio (insidemetics.com/yourname); people can still type it.
- Link your Instagram and YouTube accounts in your TikTok profile; both can carry your store link.
- Use TikTok's own features for now, such as LIVE gifts once you're eligible.
What to put behind the link
One link has to do the job of many, so point it at a page that holds everything. A good link in bio tool for TikTok should:
- Load fast on a phone, since almost every visitor arrives on one.
- Let people buy without leaving the page or creating an account.
- Show free downloads that collect emails, so a viral video leaves you with a list.
- Show your other channels and links without hiding your products.
- Not take a cut of your sales.
How to get people to tap it
- Say what's there: "the full meal plan is in my bio" beats "link in bio".
- Pin a comment that repeats it on your best videos.
- Make a short video that shows what the product looks like inside.
- Change the order of your store so the product from your latest viral video is first.
Using Insidemetics as your TikTok link
We build Insidemetics, so we're biased. Your store is one page at insidemetics.com/yourname with your products, free downloads, calls and social links, made for phones. Buyers pay you directly by PayPal, card or UPI, files arrive by email, and we take 0% of your sales. The Free plan lets you sell 1 paid product with no card.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I add a link to my TikTok bio?
Your account probably hasn't met TikTok's requirement yet, commonly 1,000 followers for personal accounts. Switching to a business account can unlock it, sometimes after verifying your business.
Can I add more than one link on TikTok?
TikTok gives one website link. Use a link in bio page that holds all your links and products.
Can I add a link to a TikTok video?
Regular videos can't carry clickable website links for most accounts. Point viewers to your bio instead.
Does Insidemetics Auto DM work on TikTok?
No. Auto DM works with Instagram only, through Instagram's official API.
