Questions
Where do I put my store link on YouTube?
Add it under Links in your channel's customisation settings so it shows on your channel page, put it in the first lines of each long video's description and in a pinned comment, and say it out loud in the video. Links in Shorts descriptions and comments stopped being clickable in August 2023; for Shorts, point viewers to the link on your channel (checked October 2026).
Do I need to be in the YouTube Partner Program?
No. The Partner Program pays you a share of ad revenue and unlocks YouTube's own memberships and shopping. Selling your own products from your own store needs no programme or subscriber count. Check YouTube's community guidelines for what you mention in videos.
Can I host course videos on YouTube?
Yes. Add lessons as unlisted YouTube videos, or from Vimeo, Loom or Google Drive. Only enrolled students can open the lesson pages; an unlisted video's own link can still be shared, so use Vimeo with domain restriction if that matters to you. Courses are part of the Business plan.
Does Insidemetics take a commission on my sales?
No. Insidemetics charges a flat monthly or yearly plan and takes 0% of your sales. Buyers pay into your own PayPal account, or your Razorpay account for buyers in India, and PayPal or Razorpay charges its own processing fee.
How do buyers pay?
Buyers around the world pay with PayPal or a card through your PayPal account. Buyers in India can pay by UPI, card or netbanking in rupees through your Razorpay account. Access or the download link is sent by email only after the payment is confirmed to our server.
How do I connect payments?
On the Payments page, connect your PayPal business account by pasting the Client ID and Secret of an app you create at developer.paypal.com. To take UPI from buyers in India, also click Connect with Razorpay, log in and click Allow. You can disconnect either one any time.
Can I try it for free?
