Questions
Does Insidemetics give paying members a role automatically?
No. There's no Discord bot yet. Members receive your invite link by email after paying. Give paid members a role and remove people whose membership ended yourself; the product's Members page shows who is active. Use an invite link that expires or has limited uses if you want to stop it being passed around.
How is this different from Discord Server Subscriptions?
Discord's Server Subscriptions are built into Discord, take a 10% share, and need a US-based owner aged 18 or over with a US bank account (Discord Creator Support, checked October 2026). Insidemetics takes no share of sales, works outside the US, and lets you sell products and calls next to the membership. The trade-off is that member roles aren't synced for you.
Which plan do paid communities need?
Memberships and paid communities are part of the Business plan. A one-time paid pass sold as a digital product with your invite as the delivery link works on any plan, the Free plan included for 1 paid product.
Does Insidemetics take a commission on my sales?
No. Insidemetics charges a flat monthly or yearly plan and takes 0% of your sales. Buyers pay into your own PayPal account, or your Razorpay account for buyers in India, and PayPal or Razorpay charges its own processing fee.
How do buyers pay?
Buyers around the world pay with PayPal or a card through your PayPal account. Buyers in India can pay by UPI, card or netbanking in rupees through your Razorpay account. Access or the download link is sent by email only after the payment is confirmed to our server.
How do I connect payments?
On the Payments page, connect your PayPal business account by pasting the Client ID and Secret of an app you create at developer.paypal.com. To take UPI from buyers in India, also click Connect with Razorpay, log in and click Allow. You can disconnect either one any time.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. The Free plan lets you sell 1 paid product and give away unlimited free downloads, with no card and no time limit. Pro and Business start with a 7-day free trial (card required) when you want more.
