Spam, Scam & Fraud Policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

Insidemetics only works if buyers can trust the stores on it. This policy lists what's not allowed, how to report it, and what we do about it.

Not allowed

  • Phishing and impersonation: pretending to be another person, brand, bank, government body or Insidemetics itself; collecting passwords, OTPs or card details.
  • Fraudulent offers: selling things you don't deliver, fake giveaways, pyramid or MLM schemes, "guaranteed" income, trading or crypto returns, and loan or job scams.
  • Deceptive advertising: false claims about results, fake scarcity or countdowns, hidden charges, or misleading before/after content.
  • Fake reviews and testimonials, and paying for or editing reviews to mislead.
  • Stolen or pirated content, including reselling someone else's course or ebook without a licence.
  • Malware: files or links that harm devices or steal data.
  • Unauthorised payment collection: asking buyers to pay outside checkout to avoid our records, collecting money for someone else, or using stolen payment methods.
  • Spam: unsolicited bulk messages, buying email lists, or messaging people who haven't opted in.
  • Illegal or restricted products: anything illegal in India, adult content, weapons, drugs, gambling, hate or harassment, and regulated advice you aren't licensed to give.

How to report

Use the report form (also linked at the bottom of every store). Tell us the store or product link, what happened, and include evidence where you can — screenshots, order emails, payment references or links. You can report anonymously, but giving an email lets us follow up. For urgent fraud involving money already paid, also contact your bank and, in India, the National Cyber Crime helpline (1930) or cybercrime.gov.in.

How we review reports

  1. We acknowledge your report and log it with any evidence.
  2. We review the store, its products and order history, and may ask the creator to respond.
  3. We aim to act on clear-cut fraud within 1 working day, and to complete other reviews within 7 days.
  4. We tell the reporter (if they gave an email) that we've acted, without sharing private details about the creator.

What we can do

  • Ask the creator to fix a listing, or remove a product.
  • Pause a store from taking orders, or suspend it entirely (it then disappears from public view).
  • Close the account and refuse future sign-ups for serious or repeated violations.
  • Share information with Razorpay, Paddle, affected buyers' banks or law-enforcement agencies where the law allows or requires it.

Fraud and illegal activity can be suspended immediately, before a creator responds. For lesser issues we usually warn first.

Appeals

A suspended creator will see the reason in their dashboard and can send an appeal from there, with any evidence. Someone who wasn't involved in the original decision reviews it, normally within 7 days. We may restore the store, keep the suspension, or ask for more information.
