How Your Store Shows Up on Google and in AI Answers

How Insidemetics helps Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity find your store: the sitemap, store markup, star ratings and llms.txt.

In short

  • Every live store with a product is in our sitemap, so Google can find it. You don't need to opt into Explore.
  • Store and product pages tell search engines who you are, what you sell and the price.
  • Each store also has a plain-text copy at insidemetics.com/yourname/llms.txt for AI assistants.
  • There's nothing to switch on. Getting indexed still takes days to weeks, and isn't guaranteed.

Most creators share their store link on Instagram, but Google doesn't follow Instagram links. So we list your store for search engines and AI assistants directly. You don't have to do anything to turn this on.

Google

  • Sitemap: your store and each product page are listed in insidemetics.com/sitemap.xml as soon as your store has at least one published product (a section heading or a Link item alone doesn't count).
  • Who you are: your store page tells Google your name, photo, bio and your social profiles. Your email and WhatsApp are never included.
  • What you sell: product pages carry the title, price and currency, with you as the seller.
  • Star ratings: when verified buyers review a product, its rating is shared with Google. Testimonials you type in yourself are left out, to follow Google's rules on reviews.

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and other AI assistants

AI assistants read plain text best. Every live store has a plain-text copy at insidemetics.com/yourname/llms.txt with your name, bio, currency and each product for sale with its price and a short description. The site-wide insidemetics.com/llms.txt lists every live store. So when a buyer asks an assistant for "Lightroom presets under $20", it can find and quote your store with the right price.

Help Google find you faster

  1. Publish at least one product, with a clear title and description that use the words buyers search for.
  2. Fill in your bio and add your social accounts in Profile.
  3. Put your store link on your YouTube channel, website, Linktree or Pinterest. Those links help Google discover you.
  4. Ask buyers to leave a review after they buy.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to switch anything on?

No. Every live store with a published product is listed automatically. You don't need to opt into Explore.

How long until my store shows up on Google?

Usually a few days to a few weeks after your first product goes live. Google decides what to show, so we can't promise a ranking.

Can I see my store's AI copy?

Yes. Open insidemetics.com/yourname/llms.txt, with your own store link name.

Will my drafts or email show up?

No. Only published products, and only your public profile and social links.

Can I keep my store off Google?

A store with no published products asks Google not to index it, and offline or suspended stores are left out. A live store is public, so it's listed.
