The first time you open your dashboard, a short tour points out the five things you need to get your store selling. It takes under a minute. It opens by itself once, for stores that have nothing live and no sales yet.
The five steps
- This is your store: your store link. Put it in your Instagram, YouTube or WhatsApp bio. Everything you publish shows up there.
- One step at a time: the Your next step box. It always shows the next thing to do, so you never have to guess.
- Add a product: pick what you're selling, then add a title, a price and the file buyers get. A free download needs no payment setup, so it can go live today.
- Connect payments: buyers pay straight into your own account, Razorpay for buyers in India and PayPal for everyone else. Until one is connected, paid products show "Checkout opens soon". On a phone, Payments is in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
- See it like a buyer: View store opens your store the way buyers see it.
Moving through the tour
- Click Next to go on, and Done on the last step.
- Click Skip, the ✕, or press Esc to close it at any point.
- Once you finish or close it, it won't open by itself again in that browser.
Taking the tour again
Click Take a quick tour under your store link on the dashboard. You can also open insidemetics.com/dashboard?tour=1, which is handy if someone is helping you set up.
Frequently asked questions
The tour didn't open for me. Is something wrong?
No. It only opens by itself for stores with nothing live and no sales, and only once per browser. Click Take a quick tour under your store link to see it.
Some steps were skipped. Why?
A step is skipped when what it points at isn't on your screen, for example the next-step box once you've finished every step.
I closed the tour by mistake. How do I get it back?
Click Take a quick tour under your store link, or add ?tour=1 to the dashboard address.
