How much do you really keep from each sale?

Enter your price and monthly sales. The calculator subtracts the payment gateway fee, the 18% GST charged on that fee and your platform plan, then shows when a flat plan beats a commission.

On a platform taking 5% commission (and no plan fee)

You'd keep ₹18,490.94 — that's ₹1 more than with a flat plan.

A flat plan costs less than a 5% commission once you make 41 sales a month at this price.

Estimates only. Gateway fees vary by payment method and your Razorpay agreement. GST on your own sales (if you're registered) and income tax are not included.

How it works

  1. Gross sales = price × number of sales.
  2. Gateway fee = gross sales × the gateway rate (Razorpay's standard plan: 2% for domestic UPI, cards and netbanking).
  3. GST of 18% is charged on the gateway fee, not on your sale amount.
  4. Take-home = gross sales − gateway fee − GST on the fee − your platform plan.
  5. Break-even against a commission platform = plan cost ÷ (price × commission rate).

Questions

What does Razorpay charge for UPI payments?

On Razorpay's standard plan the platform fee is 2% for domestic UPI, cards and netbanking, and 3% for Amex, Diners and international cards, with 18% GST on the fee. There's no setup or annual fee. Check your own Razorpay agreement — custom pricing and offers exist.

Is GST charged on my whole sale or only on the fee?

The 18% GST in this calculator is only on the gateway's fee. Whether you must charge GST to your buyers depends on your own turnover and registration — try the GST registration checker.

When is a flat monthly plan cheaper than a commission?

When the commission you'd pay in a month is more than the plan price. For example, a 5% commission on ₹20,000 of sales is ₹1,000 — about the cost of a ₹999 plan. The calculator shows the exact break-even for your price.
